Churg-Strauss syndrome is a rare type of systemic vasculitis that occurs almost exclusively in patients with asthma and peripheral blood eosinophilia. A lung biopsy shows an eosinophilis pneumonia, and there is vasculitis involving both the pulmonary and systemic circulation.
