Plasma cell

This cell type is derived from B lymphocytes and is the main producer of antibody. These cells are filled by rough surfaced endoplasmic reticulum, to the extent that their ultrastructural appearance is that of a "protein factory". This cell type is often found in associationwith chronic inflammatory processes.
