Endocardial fibrosis involving the right atrium and ventricle and tricuspid valve, caused by the biogenic amines (histamine and serotonin) and polypeptide hormones released from carcinoid tumors into the venous circulation. Typically caused by carcinoid tumors metastatic to the liver.
