• Virtual Lupus is a user friedly research tool for modeling Lupus Disease and is available at no cost to interested professionals. Virtual Lupus comes as a three disk set and can be installed on any PC running MS Windows 95^tm with four megs of free RAM and a screen resolution of 640x480 or larger. Directions for installation are included as well as an extensive Help File.

• The Lupus HealthNet is a 5 year project aimed at using innovative communications technology to network together an interdisciplinary group of health care professionals and services to focus on the challenges of individuals with lupus. This project is being carried out in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
  The goal of the project is to demonstrate that users can provide and receive excellent health care with the assistance of innovative communication technology. The project's foundation of technology will enable more efficient and effective information networking among health care professionals, increasing the speed at which medical situations are analyzed and diagnosed. For the patient this will translate into increased involvement in their care and an opportunity to become more knowledgeable about lupus and it's management.
