(a) This benign tumor is composed of several papillary projections that consist of a core of connective tissue lined on the surface by transitional epithelium that does not differ significantly from the normal epithelium of the urinary bladder. (b) This papilla has a central vascular core which is lined with cells that do not exceed the thickness of the normal contracted urinary bladder.
