Malignant mesothelioma

This is the cut section of lung showing a diffuse malignant mesothelioma which is encasing and compressing the lung with extension into the fissures and interlobular septa, as well as focally invading the underlying pulmonary parenchyma. This tumor also diffusely involves the diaphragm which is stuck to the lung.
