Metastatic carcinoma

This is an example of metastatic carcinoma involving the lung. There are multiple well circumscribed well defined nodules typical of a metastatic pattern. Occasionally, however, a solitary metastasis to the lung may be difficult to distinguish from a primary bronchogenic carcinoma.
