Asbestosis

Asbestosis, defined as interstitial pulmonary fibrosis caused by inhaled asbestos dust, is shown on this slide with areas of interstitial fibrosis, chronic inflammation, and histiocytes. The golden brown structures are encrusted with protein and iron and some of these beaded structures represent asbestos bodies.
