This slide of cytomegalovirus infection shows the typical cytopathic effect of CMV, characterized by intranuclear and intracytoplasmic inclusions. The intranuclear inclusions are large basophilic structures surrounded by a clear halo. The intracytoplasmic inclusions are small gray dot-like structures.
