Internal Features

  • Head bending and rounding.
  • Neck and body mature shape.
  • Limbs increasing in length
  • Obvious knee and elbow flexures.
  • Cranial vascular plexus has extended and forms "V" shape at skull vertex.
  • Eye
    • corneal body 3 x thickness of epithelium.
    • vascular canal in optic nerve.
  • Ear
    • Cochlea has turned second time.
    • enlargement of auricle.
  • Nose
    • Vomeronasal organ is a narrow canal in a tapering duct and has begun regression.
  • CNS
    • no hypophyseal stalk
    • angioblasts and capillaries in anterior lobe vasculature.
  • Kidney
    • metanephros has convoluted glomeruli with short and long tubules.
  • Cartliage and Bone
